World Thai Boxing Association

Our mission is to advance, promote and preserve the traditional martial arts of Thailand through our expanding international Muay Thai community. Our Online Academy Membership will provide instructional videos appropriate for all experience levels from novice to professional. Affiliate Member Schools will have access to a comprehensive training curriculum and business support program. The Apprentice Instructor Membership provides a pathway for instructor certification under the guidance of an Affiliate Member.

Ajarn Chai Update

April 13, 2025

Hello WTBA Family,

Ajarn Chai and his family are very thankful and appreciate all the well wishes and uplifting messages that have been received. Ajarn continues to move forward as expected with his recovery thanks to your continued prayers and good thoughts.

His surgery to remove the mass that was discovered in Ajarn’s brain was successful, and his doctor was pleased to see his head wound healing as planned post-surgery. He is now undergoing radiation to treat any remaining cancer that was left. He remains in the hospital for the radiation treatment and will eventually be released to return to his family home in Thailand for rehabilitation.

We realize that the healing process will take many months for a full recovery. Therefore, the Oregon Camp will be postponed until next year. We thank you for your understanding and patience while we allow Ajarn to rest and allow time for his healing.

Myanmar Earthquake Update

Greetings WTBA Family,

We would like to give an update to everyone concerning the recent 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Myanmar that was also felt in Thailand. Just letting everyone know that Ajarn Chai and his family are all safe and well. At the time of the earthquake, the hospital was evacuated, and eventually everyone was returned when it was deemed safe.

Ajarn Chai is moving forward as expected with his recovery, so thank you to everyone for your well-wishers good thoughts and prayers.

West Coast IDC Postponed

ATTENTION!

The West Coast Instructor Development Camp (IDC) on April 26-27 has been postponed. An updated announcement will be forthcoming once a new date can be finalized. A registration link for signing up will be provided as well.

There is no change to the IDC location and will remain at Boxing Works, 4549 Artesia Blvd, Lawndale, California.
