To my faithful members and students,
This year, in 2018, I celebrate 50 years of teaching and spreading the art of Muay Thai in the US and around the world! With your help along the way, I have been able to accomplish my mission of promoting and advancing the art of Thai Boxing. I hope I have touched your lives in a special way as you have touched mine. I consider all of you to be part of my extended family and it makes me happy when I hear that you feel the same way.
I look forward to seeing all my students this year at a seminar, Instructor Development Camp, or the Thai Camp in Oregon. You can go to www.thaiboxing.com to see my schedule in 2018. Next year I may need to slow down to give my body some time to rest after 50 years of constant travel. It has taken all my life to promote Muay Thai, and I did it because of my students—without students I would not have made it. Thank you so much to my senior and my old students; hope you can keep going with me or without me. I always will think of you as my family.
I will be looking to the Leadership Council of Greg Nelson, Bryan Popejoy, and Terry Tippie for their continued support, along with many dedicated, faithful, and senior students, to help build a stronger World Thai Boxing Association (WTBA). It is my hope to see this association continue long after I step down and for many generations to come. To do this, I will need your help sharing the message of the WTBA and introducing it to your students or others.
As my students, please join and help me in spreading the art of Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) and supporting the WTBA. I know there is more to do and improve upon and together we will make it better. If you have questions or need support with your WTBA membership, the new email address to use is info@thaiboxing.com. Please visit www.ThaiBoxing.com for a full list of seminars and camps for 2018.
Thank you, again, for all your support and I look forward to seeing each one of you this year.
Best to you,
Chai
